Aqueous Film Forming Foam concentrate suppresses fire rapidly, providing excellent burn-back performance, better drain type, and low application rates.
AFFF’s composition consists of Fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon surfactants blended with various solvents and preservatives. It produces a vapour–sealing film that spreads rapidly over the fuel surface to provide immediate control over fire. AF is available in two different types: Type 3 % and Type 6 %. The letters stand for the class of fire the extinguisher can be used against:
Class B Fire: extinguish fires involving flammable liquids, solvents, oil, gasoline, paints, lacquers, and other oil-based products. Class C Fire: extinguishes fires involving flammable gases like LPG and other gases.
