A hose coupling is a connector placed at the end of a hose that connects with another hose or a hose appliance like an irrigation sprinkler. It comes with a varied number of designs. They are used as a standard low-pressure fire fitting. They have two similar locking heads. The most popular one is BS 336 available in stainless steel and gunmetal. They can be connected to the hydrant valves, nozzles and breechings.
Stainless Steel has a higher tensile or mechanical strength than the bronze fire hose delivery coupling. They can withstand higher working pressures than bronze couplings. Stainless steel does not corrode and can survive harsh industrial environments.
